Back in the motherland!

Been back here for a week now. Been swarmed with so much logistics! Taking a breather for now. Feeling a bit better, since I got all my bank info under check, secured my job, and am in contact with property agents to scour for a new pad. Also am getting Deron's PR applications, my home loan applications under check, and all the gazillion pieces of document I need to submit all over the place to start work. Oh, I got a new phone line though, my sister's awesome corporate plane allows me to get an iphone for free. Love! Ah.

Jetlag hasn't been too bad this time round. I find myself being more positive about being exhausted as I've come to the conclusion that the more tired I am, the more energy I require, and I can eat as much as I want! I think I'm going to go broke in Singapore soon, since I order two plates of food instead of one for every meal! Yday, I decided to reduce it to one plate, only to find myself almost fainting of hunger at midnight. My mum had to resuscitate me with instant ramen. Love!

It's been raining a lot these days. I appreciate it a lot since it does wonders for the weather! Even if that means I had to troddle out in the rain, I'm perfectly fine with it! It's nice taking a breather in the afternoons and curling up with a book.

Gonna start doing animal work and clinical research at this cancer lab, I'm insanely excited about it! I hope it'll go well, but my initial dread about working in Singapore has subsided, and I'm looking at it through clearer eyes. They say, you should take each opportunity as a gift right? I'm happy to be back, to shift again from my comfort zone of california, and learn to understand my motherland.

It's amazing how much I'm NOT in touch with this country. Don't have a clue when it comes to property buying, don't have a clue of pretty much anything! I guess I'll just have to settle into it, but the common theory I've conceived during this short week is PROTOCOL PROTOCOL PROTOCOL. It's frustrating, but I'm sure that's what makes Singapore such an awesome country.

Deron's coming tonight, woot! At least I have a fellow tourist with me in tow. Ha.
